The Word of God states, "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" (Matthew 7:14). The term "strait" as used in this passage of scripture is commonly used to describe a narrow route of passing connecting two areas such as the Strait of Gibraltar. The dictionary goes further to define the word as a term used to reference a situation characterized by a specified degree of trouble or difficulty.
