104th Annual Assembly (CD Set)

The theme for the 104th Annual Assembly was, "...Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith, the LORD of hosts" (Zechariah 1:46).  The Jews returning from Babylon not only faced the enormous task of rebuilding, but as they labored, their enemies mocked, scorned, and fought against every effort.  God spoke through the prophet Zechariah and assured them that the work would be completed, but not by human effort alone.  It would be done by the Spirit of God.

The Church of God today is challenged with completing our last days work for the Lord.  What is that work?  It is to evangelize the whole world with the messages of the whole Gospel, to gather God's sheep into the one fold, and to see every member reach the biblical mark of perfection.  We also have enemies, and they are led by the arch-enemy of our souls.  Sometimes from within and sometimes from without he raises up mountain-sized obstacles.  If we had only our best human efforts and earthly resources to work with we would have just cause to be discouraged.  However, we serve the living God who created the universe, in whom resides all power in heaven and on earth.
